📌 Sydney-Wide📋 300+ Checks✅ Same-Day Reports
Step by Step: What Happens on the Day
- You send us the listing (or the address) and we confirm a time with the seller or dealer directly, so you don't have to be the go-between.
- Our mechanic arrives with a diagnostic scanner, jack, torch, tread gauge and paint depth meter — everything is mobile, nothing needs a workshop.
- We start with a visual walk-around: panel gaps, paint consistency, tyre wear patterns, and anything that hints at prior accident repair.
- The vehicle goes up on a jack so the underbody, suspension components and exhaust can be checked for rust, leaks or previous welding.
- We run a computer diagnostic scan to pull fault codes the dashboard may not be showing, plus a PPSR check to confirm the car isn't stolen or under finance.
- A road test follows — cold start where possible, gear changes, braking, steering feel, and any noises that only show up while driving.
- You get a digital report the same day, with photos, plain-English notes, and an honest recommendation on whether to proceed.
Why the Order Matters
We deliberately check the car cold before it's driven, because a warm engine can mask starting issues, oil leaks and rough idling that only appear in the first few minutes. If the seller has already driven the car "to warm it up" before we arrive, we'll note that in the report — it's a common tactic and worth knowing about.
Typical Duration
Most passenger vehicles take 45–75 minutes. Larger 4WDs, utes, or cars with aftermarket modifications can run closer to 90 minutes.
💡 Good to know: You don't need to attend in person. Many buyers simply wait for the digital report and call us to talk through the findings.
